After honing his craft as head chef at the renowned Tokyo Chinese Ichirin, the chef works earnestly with seasonal ingredients carefully selected for their provenance, creating distinctive Chinese cuisine in which tradition and modernity come together.
From our signature Yodare-dori, in which a special sauce heightens the savory depth of Tanba Takasaka chicken, to courses designed to engage all five senses, every dish is carefully composed.
Thoughtful pairings of Shaoxing wine, wine, and sake add another pleasure unique to Seika.

Owner Chef
Daigo HaruoMasterful techniques and an inquisitive spirit,
shaping a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with Chinese cuisine.
Born in 1981, he chose the path of Chinese cuisine and spent more than 24 years honing his craft at a variety of restaurants. He later served as head chef at renowned establishments including Tokyo Chinese Ichirin in Shintomicho and TexturA in Hibiya.
Driven by a strong desire to serve his cuisine while seeing the delight of his guests firsthand, he opened Chinese Restaurant Seika in August 2024 as the culmination of his culinary career.
Working earnestly with seasonal ingredients delivered by producers throughout Japan, he combines techniques developed over many years with an unrestricted imagination to bring out the fullest character of every ingredient.
He values the warm dialogue shared with guests across the open-kitchen counter and offers a new dining experience unconstrained by convention.
